I believe food at its best is a multi-sensory art form. One that brings together our innate senses, while often acting as a guide post for culture and community. That culture begets convention and convention beckons for a revolution. Every day we move a little closer to that radical distinction in how we create and consume (did you know that popcorn was once considered gastronomy?).
I hope to one day take part in the larger workings of this ongoing revolution towards sustainable and highly precise food production and creation. A time filled with 3-d printed food structures and molecular level reproductions. One where creativity is king and cooking as we know it is nothing but an antiquated process. Only then will flavor truly be my paint and texture my canvas.
For now I settle with what you see here. A gradual progression of epicurean experiences only reminiscent of my true yearnings. Trying to break small conventions with a little bit of creativity. Sharing my learnings and experiences for anyone to see.
